Frequently Asked
Questions
What Is Hypnosis?
The
Subconscious Mind
A central principle of hypnosis is the concept of the
subconscious mind. This part of the mind, which one is
unaware of, is the most powerful, containing a very deep
level of intelligence, wisdom, creativity and imagination.
It is the seat of all emotions and therefore influences
and directs nearly all behaviour.
The subconscious mind is also influential in maintaining
good health and regulating all autonomic processes within
the body such as breathing, blood circulation, tissue
regeneration, and healing etc.
Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring familiar state similar
to day dreaming or "drifting off". We pass
through a natural state of hypnosis when going to sleep.
However, natural hypnosis is neither deep nor controlled
whereas hypnosis with an experienced practitioner works
at much deeper and entirely safe levels.
Why Hypnosis is so Beneficial
Hypnosis is a safe way of accessing the subconscious mind.
Suggestions made under hypnosis go directly to the
subconscious where they can make beneficial and
worthwhile changes at the very deepest levels of being.

Some Important Questions
Below are the answers to
some commonly asked questions about hypnosis. For answers
to further questions see the contact details at the end
of this brochure.
Is Hypnosis safe?
Absolutely. Hypnosis is entered via a deep relaxation
technique and treatment is safe and controlled at all
times.
Is the client under the hypnotists' power?
No. The client is always in charge and cannot be made to
do anything against their will. They cannot be taken into
hypnosis unless they want to.
What if the client can't be hypnotised?
Everyone can be hypnotised. It is a naturally occurring
state. As long as the client wishes to enter into
hypnosis they will.
What does it feel like?
The client is deeply relaxed and calm, aware of
everything happening around them. It is a pleasant dream-like
state, similar to day dreaming or drifting off to sleep.
How many sessions will be needed?
That depends on the client and what it is that they wish
to change. Hypnosis helps people fast, so that even deep
behavioural issues can often take only a few sessions to
resolve
