Lucy Hartley credits her celtic roots (having a Scottish mother and Irish father) for her fascination with remote and interesting landscapes. Working primarily with oil she explores how such landscapes resonate with us all and how we relate to them. She is constantly exploring different media and styles and so her work is continuously evolving. She is a member of the Oxford Art Society and lives in Oxford with her husband and three children.
